World Wide Window Shopping
I used to love what Mom called “window shopping” when I was a little girl and pretty much carried the love of “shopping” into my adult life. (Just ask the man.) Window shopping now days has a whole new meaning. You go shopping through the window of your computer and can shop from all over the world without even breaking a sweat.
Yesterday I started looking online for a long summer skirt … found one that is perfect at this site. Won’t that be a fun one to stroll around the fun little beach communities when we stay here for the month of July (which was a site we found and reserved online). Unfortunately my first pick of a nice straw hat to block the sun was way too expensive! BUT then I remembered … I have two perfectly good travel summer hats sitting in my closet waiting for summer. I suppose I will have to ….
…. Look at sandals! There are some pretty fancy summer sandals but most of them are ones I couldn’t possibly wear. I would love to be a trendy Grandma with cute little fancy shoes … but let’s be practical … I’m a klutz that has to wear a sturdy, solid shoe. I was sooo disappointed when I found this sandal. I like those kind, and particularly in red … and they were sold out. But THEN I remembered I can never buy shoes online because if my twisted toes.
So I looked for cute summer bags … But THEN I remembered I found the perfect one two weeks ago at Christensen’s here in town … Not only was it the perfect bag, it was THE perfect price at 75% plus 25% off. I gave it to Lynn to hold while I ran to the bathroom and wouldn’t you know HE decided I had enough bags and put it back? Men! I have to admit it is a lot more fun to shop for certain things when they aren’t around!
I did find a couple of real cute T-shirts to wear with my skirt (I’m talking like it’s a done deal, aren’t I?). This one, and this one. One is coral and the other one is white. I like T-shirts to come below my elbows … I would even be happier if they were long sleeve.
Well, it’s time to call it a shopping day. Lynn might think this is extravagant but think of it this way, dear … I didn’t eat out or spend money on gas!

I can relate well. I can spend hours on the computer just looking at things and then never buy anything. I’m excited for your summer adventure! I know you will have a wonderful time. We sure missed you Saturday night. I hope both of you are feeling better. Let’s get together. We miss you guys.
