Will You Be My Valentine?
The last two nights I have been making Valentine’s with two of my grand daughters. It has been two nights full of giggles, glue, scissors, stickers, and paper and I think they have turned out remarkably well!
Don’t tell a certain someone that this is his … I want it to be a surprise!
I remember so many years ago when I carefully prepared my Valentine’s Box for school and addressed all of my cards to the friends in my class. My favorite box was one my brother, Bill, helped me make out of a round oatmeal box. I used to come home from school with my cache of Valentine’s and spread them out on the floor so I could divide them up in various categories and look at them for the rest of the night. It seems hard to believe that I could be so excited about Valentine’s as I used to get.
The fun part came after dark when we would sneak around and leave Valentine’s on the doorsteps, knock, and run like the wind so we wouldn’t be discovered.
My favorite part of Valentine’s Day now is being the “sweetheart” of the man I love. He has never once forgotten me on the day of love … I wonder if the talk my Dad gave him when we were first married has anything to do with it.
Dad told Lynn that if there was one thing in the world he should never forget it would be Valentine’s Day … and he knew this to be true because he forgot it ONCE and “faced the consequences. Believe me, you don’t want to experience that!”

those are so cute!
sounds like a fun project, i wish i could have helped !

Your cards are beautifu! Have fun delivering them. and more than that HAVE A HAPPY VALEINTINES DAY!
Do you remember how Grandpa M. Used to deliver a small brown bag for each of us with a valentine and a Hershey candy bar? I never knew how he did that – until I was old enough to realize it was our dad who did the delivering for grandpa. Memories!
Love your blog. I love grandmas who share! Love your Valentine’s idea. Check out my blog to see what I did this year for my ten grandchildren. Being a grandma is so much fun!
