Wednesday’s This ‘n That

My mind is in a stupor of thought lately when it comes to writing.    I have sooo many things running through my head lately it’s hard to collect enough words on the same topic to write anything worth reading.

We’re trying to get ready to go to Washington for six months … sorting, discarding, combining.   Lynn is right when he tells me I won’t have to buy another thing for the rest of my life.    If I live to be a hundred I can never use all my material or crafting supplies.

Next week we are heading to Vegas to pick up the Motor Home, but before then we have to get 20 cubic something’s of gravel delivered and spread out in the side yard plus have a fence installed with a huge gate.    That sounds really hard.

Little doggy needs a hair cut and grooming, plus have her shots updated before we leave … and I am her beautician so that is also on my list.

I have been making so many lists … lists of things to take, things to give away, things to keep, things to store, things to do, things not to forget … “and the list goes on”.   You can understand why my head is in a spin!

But … I am still better off than Lynn, who was just called to be a speaker in church on Easter Sunday.    I will do my part and pray that he is inspired … and I am so very thankful it isn’t me.

I watched Oprah tonight while I was sorting through a box of papers and Dr. Oz was bringing in guests who were in their nineties and even hundreds … who were in super excellent physical and mental health.    The gist of it all is eat healthy and keep moving and make sure you are busy and have a lot of projects going so there is a reason to get up every day and do them.     Also … those who spend time helping others live longer, those who spend quality time with families live longer, and those who don’t die live longer.   That about sums it up.

Th th th th th that’s all folks!

  1. Oh my goodness 6 months? Why? To visit your kids?

  2. Yes! We have Warren’s family and Kimi’s family up there … plus the fact that it is just plain beautiful there with so many things to see. Lynn retired so this is our big celebration before he comes back and has hip and knee replacements.

  3. Check out our “arts and crap” room. (That’s how Dolly Parton referred to one of her rooms!)

You can’t spread 20 cubic yards (?) of gravel! Unless you can drive a Bobcat. Either way you and Lynn will die of severe creakiness. But the Bobcat is fun to drive until you have to get off and realize your spine has been compacted.

    Stop whining! :-)

    I love Porky Pig!

  4. I’ll try to keep those things in mind for a long life! ;) Happy travels! And if you come through Wenatchee you’d better stop and say Hi!

  5. Oh ” weeeeeee” aren’t going to spread it! #2 son has a friend with a big tractor pusher thing who owes him a favor …. Love when that happens! I think Lynn would totally agree with Dolly Parton. Every time I turn around there is another box of crafts!

  6. Does this six-month tour mean you don’t have to cook for a whole six months!? Please let me come along!!!! Pretty please?

  7. Ha! You can come but you have to take your turn at cooking!
