We Prayed For A Shoe
Look at those cute little blue shoes … Kai loves them and wears them everywhere he can. When I say he loves them, I mean he LOVES them.
Last night we stayed at the beach and watched the sunset and then loaded up the kids to come home. When we got here we could only find one blue shoe. It was dark, and chances were that we wouldn’t find that shoe, but Grandpa and I felt we just had to go give it a try.
We got there and looked all around with our flashlights where we knew it might have dropped out of the car when we were loading up. There was no little blue shoe to be found. Lynn turned the car around to head back and I said a little prayer, “Please, Heavenly Father, Kai has lost one of his favorite little shoes. He loves his little blue shoes and will be so sad if we can’t find it. Please help us.”
As we were driving past the restrooms I said, “You know, Lynn, some times people find things like this and leave them somewhere you might notice them if you come back.” So he turned into the little rest area and we looked around the restrooms and the signs telling about the beach, but there was no blue shoe to be found.
Lynn turned the car around to leave and the car lights swep
t across a couple of picnic tables across the street on the grass. On one of those tables there was a little tiny bump. I wasn’t wearing my glasses but I knew as soon as I saw that little tiny bump that it was Kai’s shoe. “There it is,” I cried as I pointed to the tables in the dark. And sure enough! There it was. Someone found his little shoe and knew we’d be back.
Kai is a happy little boy today … and we are grateful for an answered prayer on a little boy’s behalf.

What a sweet story and perfect example for Kai!
Aw yeah! When I was in high school I lost a silver band ring in a sand volleyball court. It wasn’t worth much, but had sentimental value. We looked and looked and finally I prayed to myself and someone found it within a minute!
I know prayers are answered. It has happened to me many times. I’m so glad you found the shoe. The Lord is watching out for you! Have fun. Miss you lots.
