Grandma Henke

Ande is four months now and knows her position in our household … She is the boss.   Fortunately, she is a sweet, patient little baby and we all love to cater to her and she never lacks for attention.    She is all smiles and giggles lately and pretty much loves her life just as it is.

She slept to the side of me this morning in  my nice, comfortable bed while the others went to Church.    Ande and I were both under the weather and were tending each other.    When I felt her warm little body snuggle closer to mine and heard a gentle sigh of contentment I opened my eyes to see if she was still asleep and imagine my amazement when instead of Ande’s sweet little angelic face I was nose to nose with a white little ball of fur that had squeezed her way between us.    She and Ande were both on their backs with their arms and legs stretched out … side by side … eyes closed and smiles on their faces.      They are becoming quite the friends.

A picture was necessary but I knew the spell would be lost the moment I moved out of the bed to get my camera, so I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.   Later I was able to capture a sweet picture of the two of them but the best picture was the one I was unable to take, when the three of us just laid there snuggled happily together.
