This ‘n That …
We took dinner in to our neighbors tonight. Lynn made his absolutely mouth watering delicious honey chicken to serve over wild rice with sides of steamed veggies and cold fruit. He tripled the recipe so that we could eat some and even have left overs. We delivered the meal to the folks next door and then I proceeded to prepare plates for us. We were salivating by this time because this happens to be one of our favorite meals. Oh how I wish now that I had taken a picture of it steaming hot in the skillet … before it took a flying leap and landed upside down on our floor. And after that why oh why didn’t I take a picture before I cleaned it all up? Our hearts and appetites would not let us trash it all. Dare I tell you we washed off the chicken? Dare I?
Tonight there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and we drove down onto the beach and watched the sun disappear right into the Pacific Ocean. Sunsets on the beach are different every time … all beautiful. It was a reverent moment when just as the sun slipped beneath the waves to the west, the tip of the moon peaked over the trees in the east. I watched it balloon into full bloom and just have to say: Nature and all of it’s beauty and power leaves me in awe.

The good and the not so good. Too bad about the chicken. Yes, I would have done the same thing! The sunset sounds wonderful. I remember watching many sunsets in Astoria. What a life. Enjoy it. You both deserve it! Miss you both.
It sounds beautiful where you are.
How about sharing the chicken recipe. You’ve got me salivating too to the point that I would probably eat it off the floor right now too!
Kudos to you for daring to admit that you salvaged the chicken. I think most of us would have done the same thing!
Well yes I agree if you are going to talk about a mouth watering chicken maybe you should share the recipe…I don’t blame you for washing it off! Why waste such a good thing!
