Grandma Henke

Kim tagged me for this meme … for some reason I find I really like meme’s.   Well, I like the kind that are in paragraphs and tell you something about the person rather than the ones that just ask for your favorite color and food.    I’ve actually done this one on myself so I thought I"d do it on the man I married, but that doesn’t mean he’s off the hook to write his own since he was also tagged.   

1.   He grew up on a poultry ranch in Draper.  

2.  He and his brothers tried to dig a tunnel under the canal that ran through the fields behind their property.    Thank goodness their dad caught them before they got too far along.

3.  When he was young, his dog, Sport, peed in a bucket of milk his neighbor had set down on the side of the road so he could talk to Lynn.    The pee went right under the foam on the milk and Lynn never told the neighbor what happened.

4.  He is a random fact machine.   

5.  He was the Mayor of our city for four years after he won the election as a write in candidate.   

6.  When we were dating he owned a new white, Ford Mustang with black leather interior.    He looked snazzy in it.

7.  He will retire next February after working for the State of Utah for thirty-five years.     Woo Hoo

8.  Here’s one more.    We have always lived in the same ward as each other.
