Safe & Sleeping Soundly In Washington

Oh brother … the flight up here was so nice and smooth I am almost embarrassed.   It was so nice I even fell asleep on the plane.  I’m talking leaning up against the window, jaw dropping, drooling kind of asleep. Thank goodness there was no one sitting in the middle seat to witness it.  The skies were so clear coming in to Seattle I could see miles and miles in every direction.   We flew close to Mount St. Helens and I was able to look right down inside of it.     I would have to say it was a perfect day for flying.    I would rescind my last will and testament but there is still the other half of the ticket that has to  be used.

I have enjoyed being with my son, Warren, and his family.   They are perfect hosts … and grandson, Curtis, is always so sweet to give up his bedroom and find other places in the house to sleep.    I must have been tired when I got here because I ended up climbing into their Love Sack (that isn’t a bed … it’s a huge bean bag that fits 2 or 3 people at once) and taking a nap in the afternoon sun through the window … and then I went to bed fairly early for me and slept through a huge gang fight right outside my bedroom window (that was open but I had a fan going in front of it).   I missed it all … the yelling, the screaming, the police … and it was actually a pretty big deal.    Some gang members beat up two men with base ball bats but all were tracked down and arrested later.   I would have had some blog today if I hadn’t been so sound asleep … but if I’d heard or seen it all I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to sleep all night, so it’s good I didn’t.

Poor little Fresca is home watching for me out the front window and whimpering.   Our other little Bischon was the same way … couldn’t stand it when I wasn’t home.    It’s sad to picture.

I am just waiting for some kind of adventure to happen so I can blog about it.  I am really sorry to think I missed such a golden opportunity last night.   I probably could have even got a good picture or two of it all from my window.     Who would have thought I could sleep so soundly?

  1. Well now that didn’t sound good at all … that I could have even got a good picture of it all. There couldn’t have been a good picture of what happened … it was a bad scene. I’m glad I missed it.

  2. Me too OR you might have ended up spending your vacation as a witness. Sleep good! Have fun. Rest well.

  3. I’m glad you missed it too. I hope you stay safe up here in WA! ;)

PS. Going to visit my friend in Kingman again next month. How far from there are you?

  4. We are in the southwest corner of Utah so I don’t think it’s very close to Kingman. I will be in Auburn next week. Right now I’m at Lake Stevens at my son’s. My daughter lives in Auburn and I will be there next week. We are planning to be snowbirds and live here six months out of the year after Lynn retires.
