Poor Little Christmas Card
This Christmas card was mailed to us here in Southern Utah on Dec. 22, 2008, from Heber City, Utah. It arrived today in that plastic you see on the bottom right. The enclosed letter explained that it had been involved in a traffic accident somewhere between Dallas and Oklahoma City, and it was kind of them to add there were no serious injuries to people. We can’t help but wonder, though, what in the world this unfortunate piece of mail was doing clear over there in the first place, poor little thing. Can you imagine sorting through the fire and water damaged mail and trying to get it where it belonged? (It really stinks!) They said a lot of it couldn’t be salvaged at all.

Now that takes the cake! or the mail as it were……
Wow, that’s crazy! I have wondered at times what happens to mail that’s in a plane that crashed or a truck. Now I know!
And we are always so trusting that the mail will get through…
I once got just the ripped half of the front cover of a magazine – the part that had my address on it – in one of those bags! I had to call the magazine and ask for a new copy!
