The giving up the diet coke thing--I did the same thing more or less. Kept forgetting to buy new ones when I went to Costco and eventually realized I was drinking water in their place with lunch and not missing them at all. Now I don't stock them anymore. I do order one occasionally when we're out for pizza. There's something about coke pairing up with pizza I can't resist. It's working though. Good luck with all your ins and outs this year!
