Nanny is Ready to Write
My dad used to have a saying that sort of fits how I’m feeling waiting for November 1st so i can start writing my novel for NaNoWriMo! “Jumpy as a fart in a hot skittle”. I’m like a race horse standing at the gate. I’m SO ready for this and want to start right now! I am known at NaNoWriMo as “Nanny” .
I’ve figured out an interesting storyline with some fun characters who are anxiously waiting for me to notice them. The thing I found the most fun last year was that the characters took over the book. Their personalities developed and it just happened.
My first novel, “Nellie, an Unheralded Angel”, introduces a senior citizen angel who is unable to stick to the rules set down by her supervisor, Horace, as she works to help a dysfunctional family on earth.
This novel is a continuation of the relationship between Horace and Nellie as they are sent on a mission to save the souls of a husband and wife wannabe con artists and the lives of the two old janitors who discover the con and set out to con the cons. The couple has a six year old son who follows the janitors around as they clean the building at night and he innocently passes on information from his parents … some true and some make believe. Horace and Nellie’s attempt to stop what is happening could be considered a con of its own, so we have three bungling cons going on.
Nellie and Horace have been instructed to live as normal people on earth and are given three rules they are not to break: #1 They are not to use Heavenly Interventions, #2 They cannot tell the people who they are, and #3 They are not to call attention to themselves. Of course they will be breaking the rules.
I am Nanny, hear me roar!
What do you think?

That sounds very intriguing! I can’t wait to read it.
Sounds really fun!
I never did figure out how to read your book last year. So after you’re done you’ll have to help me get both of them to read!
