The bad news is that  I woke up with a nasty head cold.   The good news is the grand kids brought me breakfast in bed.

The bad news is that the water heater went kaput.  The good news is that it didn’t flood the basement.

The bad news is that water heaters cost an arm and a leg.   The good news is they also take cash.

The bad news is the one we want costs over $600 everywhere.   The good news is we find it at Sears for almost $100 less.

The bad news is we may have to postpone paying a couple of bills to get it right now.  The good news is we discover that model is on closeout for $99.00.

The bad news is they may not have anymore.   The good news is they find one behind everything else at the warehouse.

The bad news is that it’s a lot of work to get it out.   The good news is  the Sears employees in St. George, Utah, seemed happy they could get it for us.

The bad news is how much it costs to have it installed.   The good news is our son in law, Steve, and Lynn are tough and smart and were able to do it  themselves.

The bad news was the water had to be turned off.   The good news was at the end of the day I got to soak in a nice hot tub of water.
