Grandma Moses Move Over!
Okay,it’s a bit intimidating to post my very first drawing ever. I feel like I’m bringing a paper home from school for Mama to put on the fridge … one that she has seen a few hundred times before from her other kids at the same age. I have to admit, though, I was surprised this even resembled what I had in mind for Aunt Nellie. I realize the bottom half of her isn’t quite facing the same direction as the top half her … but gee … it IS my first try. I may not actually be the one who should draw her for the book … but who knows.
Yesterday I had Lynn pick up some books from the library on drawing and last night I drew my toes while I was relaxing in a recliner. I think I’ve found a new relaxing hobby to enjoy. I am so astonished since it has never even occurred to me before. My toes turned out reasonably well, by the way … just as crooked as they are in real life! Grandma Moses look out! (Not really)

Gosh! That’s almost exactly the way I pictured Aunt Ellie while I was reading the book!
