Five Daughters
My son and daughter in law just found out their expected baby is a girl. This will be their fifth … five girls! And they are as excited for this sweet little girl as they were for their first … we all are.
I couldn’t help but think of the future. His house will be a hormone factory! His oldest is going to be eleven soon so they will have a good twenty years of multiple female carriers. Holy cow. He must have prayed for patience and now he’ll have the opportunity to learn it well! It will take patience and a machete to cut through the hormones of six women in one house!
I had five children … two girls and three boys. Boys are bigger and make a lot more deep noises … and different kinds of messes than girls. They and their big friends take up a lot of space with just their bodies and it takes a lot of food to fill them up. Girls are noisy too with all their friends but it is a different kind of noise … and they take up a lot of room with their accessories and clothes. And they want a lot of clothes and a lot of friends and a lot of accessories. They practice dance routines and gymnastics all over the house … boys play foot ball and basketball outside. Large families are fun … no matter what the mix.
It’s a good thing he has a big home and enough bathrooms to accommodate six females. And it is a good thing they work as a team to raise their children. They are good parents and this new little girl, whose middle name is going to be Joy, is coming to a happy family who are very excited to meet her.
We will have seventeen grandchildren … and only four of them are boys. Look out Curtis, Steele, Lincoln, and Kai! They have you outnumbered four to one!

I told Brett about this cartoon with his last child…it’s perfect. I remember it from when I was little and found it online. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq9ur0VfVn0
Imagine the hormones and imagine the fun! How exciting to grow up with lots of sisters. They can have late night giggly girly slumber parties all on their own every night.
I think it is great! Kim and Brett are really good parent s and they sure have cute girls! The more the merrier!
Wow, that’s a lot of girls…
I tagged you!
