Kudos to you for daring to admit that you salvaged the chicken. I think most of us would have done the same thing!

It sounds beautiful where you are.

How about sharing the chicken recipe. You've got me salivating too to the point that I would probably eat it off the floor right now too!

The good and the not so good. Too bad about the chicken. Yes, I would have done the same thing! The sunset sounds wonderful. I remember watching many sunsets in Astoria. What a life. Enjoy it. You both deserve it! Miss you both.

About Question #1, there's just something magical about beaches. You just feel free on a beach.

About Question #2, it's a mystery to me! I've never felt comfortable in the Pacific. It's always too cold!

About Question #3, maybe horses that are going to be on a public beach should have to wear those poop-catching devices like the carriage horses wear in lots of cities.

I enjoyed your post and your pictures, mostly because we are still sweltering down here in Texas!

Hi Edna. It's always fun to catch up with your life on your blog posts. Your cloudy skies look much like ours, but after 31 days of rain, we have had blue skies and SUN for the last 3! It has been wonderful. I read the post about the beach...we have been feeling sorry for ourselves all summer because we have to throw the ol' jacket on before we head out the door. You, Lynn, and Fresca are looking good!

It's such a peaceful area. My stress level increases the second I pull onto I5 on my way back from the beach.

Beautiful photos. My husband and I were just talking last night about how much of the earth we will never get to see. I commented that with todays technology and resources we can probably visit almost anywhere on the earth using cyberspace to at least see and learn.

Thanks for sharing your little part of the world with me. So happy to hear that you are enjoying your travels.

I totally agree on the picking up of poop. Some of the horse poop I've seen is BIGGER than your dog! Lovely pictures.
