But Wait! Spring Has Sprung!
I don’t know about the rest of Utah but Spring has Sprung here in Ivins. We were watching the weather last night about expected winter storms from Utah through Seattle on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday … but I look out on my trees and see the buds and blossoms. Even the flowers are starting to bloom.
So … here we are planning a car trip Thursday and Friday to where? Seattle of course. We need to be there Saturday for our grand daughter’s baptism and have been thinking of everything else but the weather. I guess this means we shouldn’t take our summer clothes, huh?
Lynn and I don’t like bad weather. We don’t like to walk on ice and slush or snow anymore. I have a hard enough time standing upright on dry ground. Snow boots? What are they? I mean there is a reason we moved to Southern Utah! Beautiful red cliffs and desert landscaping. I wonder if our car will revolt and turn for home with its tail between its legs?
Okay … if it’s just pretty … we like pretty snow. If the roads are clear and the heater works we could even enjoy ourselves. Could the weatherman be wrong?

It’s yukky here in SLC in spite of the fresh snow from the past coupla days. I’m sure the storm is mostly my fault though because I’d started preparing the back deck for warm weather–took the protective cover from the furniture, etc. Also starting unpacking some spring clothes and getting ready for spring and summer. For good reason! Friday last week was about 75 degrees! Then Sunday was such a shock. That, I’m told, is SPRING in Utah! I love Seattle and know you’re going to have a great time there. Think of me if you go to the big fresh market!
